Alternatives
The best PhoneBurner alternatives in 2026
What PhoneBurner sells and costs, what reviewers say, and the alternatives by job: stay single-line for less, go parallel for more conversations, or consolidate the stack.
The best PhoneBurner alternative depends on why you are leaving, and most teams fall into one of three groups. If you want more live conversations per rep-hour, our pick is our own CallCloud Parallel Dialer at up to five lines with a median 22 ms answer-to-rep bridge; if you want to stay single-line, our CallCloud Power Dialer keeps the one-line model with unlimited calling and no contract. Other strong options by job: Orum and Nooks for larger teams buying adaptive parallel dialing, Mojo and BatchDialer for real-estate and insurance prospecting, and Close or Apollo if your real problem is consolidating the CRM and the dialer.
We are CallCloud, so read this knowing our bias. We will still tell you plainly where another product fits better, because a page that wins your trust is worth more to us than a page that wins one signup.
What is PhoneBurner, and what does it cost?
PhoneBurner is an outbound power dialer with a built-in contact manager and CRM, workflow automation, reporting, follow-up tools, and integrations. It dials one number at a time, and the company is explicit that it is not a multi-line or predictive dialer. Its pitch is agent-controlled sequential calling: the rep always knows who picks up, and PhoneBurner says, "We do NOT drop calls." That is a vendor claim rather than an independently measured guarantee, but it reflects a deliberate design choice, and for teams that value one clean conversation at a time, it is a real strength.
Plans observed October 23, 2026:
| PhoneBurner plan | Annual billing (per user/month) | Monthly billing | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $140 | $165 | Unlimited calling, dialer and CRM, workflow automation, analytics |
| Professional | $165 | $195 | Browser softphone, Krisp AI noise cancellation, live monitoring and coaching, Open API |
| Premium | $183 | $215 | PhoneBurner number, inbound routing and callbacks, transcription and AI notes, 1,000 outbound SMS/month (extra outbound SMS is $15 per 1,000) |
All plans include unlimited dialing with no per-minute charges, but the FAQ limits calling destinations to the US and Canada. ARMOR (its answer-rate monitoring and remediation service) and Connect Scores are add-ons whose dollar prices are not published on the current pricing page, so ask for those numbers in any quote. Monthly service is available without an annual commitment, though a discounted yearly contract is also offered, and cancellation ends access to your purchased numbers.
PhoneBurner dates to 2008 and was founded by brothers John and Paul Rydell; John is Founder & Chairman and Chris Sorensen is CEO.
What do reviewers say about PhoneBurner?
Ratings observed October 23, 2026, on three platforms with very different scales and populations:
- G2: 4.8/5 from 294 reviews
- Capterra: 4.8/5 from 177 reviews, page last updated September 29, 2026
- TrustRadius: 5.3/10 from 24 reviews and ratings, several of which date to 2020-2021
Recent reviewers praise speed and support. A G2 reviewer wrote on October 13, 2026 that PhoneBurner lets them "move through calls without stopping," and another said on June 25, 2026 that "their support team is great." The recurring criticisms are price and fit: a Capterra reviewer said on October 7, 2026 that "the pricing can be a bit steep," and a real-estate reviewer wrote on October 27, 2025, "I would use it much more if it integrated better with our CRM."
One G2 review from October 14, 2026 is worth noting because it is about expectations rather than product failure: the buyer did not realize ARMOR had not been set up. That is a reminder to check activation and enrollment of any reputation service, on any platform, before you conclude the platform itself is the problem.
Why do teams look for a PhoneBurner alternative?
The attributable evidence supports three reasons, and only these three:
- Price. Standard is $140 per user per month billed annually or $165 monthly, and a Capterra reviewer in October 2026 called it steep. An r/sales thread asked directly for a cheaper alternative for a small startup.
- A specific CRM workflow mismatch. PhoneBurner has named native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, and Close, but native integrations for Pipedrive, Outreach, and Salesloft were not verified, and some reviewers want tighter CRM fit.
- A different dialing model. PhoneBurner is single-line by design. Teams that want more dialing attempts per rep-hour need a parallel dialer.
Notice what is not on that list. There is no solid evidence of a recurring "hello? hello?" pickup-delay complaint, systematically poor audio, or contract lock-in abuse. Older TrustRadius reviews mention slowness, but that is not the same thing. If your complaint is one of those, check your setup before switching.
How should you compare these products?
Here is the rule we would use: decide the replacement job before the vendor. The three jobs are (1) keep sequential dialing but pay less, (2) increase conversations per rep-hour with parallel dialing, or (3) consolidate the dialer into a bigger platform, whether a CRM, a phone system, or a contact center. Vendors cluster cleanly onto those jobs, and comparing a parallel dialer to a phone system on license price alone produces a wrong answer.
The honest sub-question for job two is the one PhoneBurner itself raised in a March 26, 2026 article: what happens to the person who answers while the dialer decides? That is the historic objection to parallel dialing (dead air, dropped answers), and it is where our design is different. In our Parallel Dialer the rep sits on a live audio bridge for the whole session, so an answered line joins in a median 22 ms (99% within 50 ms, measured on live calls on October 8, 2026), with no answering-machine listening window before the rep is let in. The other lines keep ringing until the rep presses Connect, then return to the queue, so no prospect gets a half-rung call. That is our answer to the historic objection to parallel dialing, and 98.7% of connected conversations on our platform run past six seconds. It is a vendor claim about our own network, not an independent benchmark, and we say so.

| Klenty Sales Dialer | Sales dialer | Parallel, cap not verified | $40/$80/$140 per user/month annual by tier | Not published | Multi-channel outreach on a budget |
| Mojo | Prospecting dialer | 1 or 3 | Single Line $89/license + $10 Agent Access; Triple Line $149 combined | Month to month | Real-estate and insurance prospecting |
| BatchDialer | Multi-line predictive dialer | 3 (Starter) or 5 (Pro/Enterprise) | $119-$249/month depending on tier and billing | 1 agent upward | Prospecting with included numbers |
| Five9 | Contact-center platform | Not verified | Core $159/concurrent user/month | 50-seat minimum | Contact centers, not sales teams |
A quick cost example for the price-driven reader: three PhoneBurner Professional seats cost $585/month at monthly billing; three CallCloud Parallel seats cost $375/month. That is a software subtotal, not an all-in comparison, because PhoneBurner Professional includes monitoring and coaching features you would need to replace.
What are the best alternatives, product by product?
Parallel dialers
CallCloud Parallel Dialer (ours). Up to five lines in the browser, unlimited US and Canada calling, one local number per seat, month to month, one seat is fine. The 22 ms bridge and the live-bridge design are why teams that left parallel dialing over lag come to us. Hot and cold number detection is built in and learns from your own call history: a number that picked up before converts on the next dial at roughly 27%, versus about 6.6% for a number never reached, and under 2% of our outbound numbers are flagged as spam. Recording, transcript, AI summary, and a rep call score come with every connect. Where we are not the fit: we do not do predictive dialing for large contact centers, IVR routing, a contact database, SMS campaigns, or a full business phone system. Extra numbers are $2/month each, and calling outside the US and Canada needs the UK add-on.
Orum. Up to five lines with unlimited paid-plan dials, and Orum reports a 0.7-second median connect time. Its help documentation says the first detected answer wins and the other calls are canceled, which is a different answer to the simultaneous-answer problem than ours. Pricing is quote-only with a nine-seat minimum, so a team of four cannot buy it at any price. For a sales org of nine or more that wants a packaged platform, it is a legitimate better fit than we are.
Nooks. Its adaptive and Turbo dialing changes the active line count using live pickup predictions, and Turbo averages approximately six lines. The same documentation is candid that multiple simultaneous answers create cancellation risk. Pricing is a custom quote, and advanced modes have seat, number, and workspace prerequisites. If you want a machine to decide concurrency for you, Nooks is the most interesting architecture here, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Salesfinity. Five lines with local caller-ID rotation. Gold is $249 per license per month billed annually or $299 month to month (pricing page dated October 17, 2026), the sequencer is +$60, and international calling is +$50 per license per month. Enterprise is a 12-month plan. Solid for teams that want the whole outbound stack from one vendor.
Kixie, Koncert, and Trellus. Kixie offers single-line and up-to-four-line plans with unlimited US/Canada minutes on the multi-line tier, but its AI human voice detection is a premium add-on and current dollar pricing is not published. Koncert spans single-line through five-line products with fully managed caller-ID reputation, but pricing is contact-only. Trellus dials from Google Sheets and Clay, which none of the others do, but its public pricing display is ambiguous enough that we will not quote it; get a written price.
Power dialers (stay single-line)
CallCloud Power Dialer (ours). One line at a time, the next number dials itself, $60 per seat per month, unlimited, month to month. If what you like about PhoneBurner is the model itself and what you dislike is the price, this is the most direct swap. If you live in Salesloft, Outreach, or HubSpot, our Chrome extension dials from inside those tools instead.
Aircall Professional. $50 per license per month billed annually with power dialing included and unlimited US/Canada calls, but there is a three-license minimum, extra numbers are $6/month each, and the documented power workflow stays sequential. Good if you also want a full business phone system.
Real-estate and insurance dialers
Mojo. The established name here. Single Line at $99/month combined ($89 dialer license plus $10 Agent Access) or Triple Line at $149/month combined, month to month with no long-term contract. Unlimited minutes, and an explicit choice between one and three lines.
BatchDialer. Three lines on Starter ($119 monthly, $95 annual-equivalent) and five on Pro ($189/$151) or Enterprise ($249/$199), with 10, 40, or 100 numbers included by tier and unlimited inbound and outbound calling. Plans announced March 12, 2026. Starter omits the live AI coaching available higher up. Insurance agencies should also know PhoneBurner has a documented IntegrityCONNECT integration used by hundreds of agents, which is a real switching cost if that is your lead flow.
If the real problem is the stack, not the dialer
Close replaces both CRM and dialer: Growth at $99/user/month annual with power dialing, Scale at $139 with predictive dialing, and metered calling at roughly $0.02/minute. Apollo's Advanced Dialer is a team-level add-on ($149/month, $119 annual) on top of a subscription, with calls drawing on shared credits; do not mistake it for a cheap per-seat price. CloudTalk and JustCall put dialing inside a phone platform; JustCall's ten-line SalesPro is quote-only, and CloudTalk's parallel add-on is EUR39/user/month on top of a base plan. Five9 has a 50-seat minimum and is a contact-center product; it belongs on this list only if your problem has outgrown sales dialing entirely.
How do you choose between a power dialer and a parallel dialer?
Use the conversations-per-hour test. A single-line power dialer, PhoneBurner included, tops out around what one rep can dial sequentially; PhoneBurner says 60-80 contacts per hour, and contacts is the right word, because most of those are voicemails and no-answers, not conversations. If your reps are connecting with, say, 8-12 prospects an hour and that number is fine, stay single-line and buy on price and workflow; our $60 Power Dialer or Aircall will do it. If your connect rate is the bottleneck and you have more list than hours, parallel dialing multiplies attempts, and the question becomes which vendor's answer to simultaneous answers you trust. Pilot it properly: measure connected conversations, canceled or abandoned answers, meeting quality, spam-flag changes, and rep experience together, because more attempted calls alone does not prove a better result.
How do you try CallCloud?
Self-serve signup: start a free trial, no card needed, or compare plans on our pricing page. The Parallel Dialer is $125 per seat per month and the Power Dialer is $60, both month to month with unlimited US and Canada calling. We integrate natively with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, GoHighLevel, Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo, Amplemarket, Salesforge, and Gong, and every dial logs back, including no-answers and bad numbers. If you want to see the bridge in action before you commit, book a demo.
FAQ
Is PhoneBurner a good dialer?
Yes, for what it is. It scores 4.8/5 on both G2 (294 reviews) and Capterra (177 reviews), reviewers consistently praise its support and workflow speed, and it never puts a rep in the position of juggling two live answers. The documented criticisms are price, CRM fit for some users, and the fact that it is single-line by design.
What is cheaper than PhoneBurner?
On published prices: CallCloud Power Dialer at $60 per seat per month (single-line), CallCloud Parallel at $125 (five lines), Klenty from $40 per user per month annually (500 minutes), CloudTalk from EUR25 per user per month annually plus dialer add-ons, and BatchDialer Starter at $95 per month annual-equivalent. Check what each price excludes; add-ons like numbers, voice detection, or sequencers change the total.
Does PhoneBurner do parallel dialing?
No. PhoneBurner states plainly, "We are NOT a multi-line dialer." It offers sequential power dialing, one number at a time. Teams wanting parallel dialing need a different product, ours included.
What happens when two people answer at once on a parallel dialer?
It depends on the vendor, and it is the most important question to ask. Orum cancels the other calls when the first answer is detected. Nooks documents the cancellation risk directly. In CallCloud's Parallel Dialer, the rep is already on a live audio bridge, so the first answer joins in a median 22 ms with no listening window, and the other lines keep ringing until the rep presses Connect, then return to the queue. Whatever vendor you pilot, ours included, ask to see a double answer handled live.
Does PhoneBurner include spam protection?
It offers ARMOR (answer-rate monitoring, optimization, and remediation) and Connect Scores as add-ons, but their prices are not published on the current pricing page. PhoneBurner says ARMOR-protected numbers average 15% higher answer rates than its unprotected numbers, a vendor comparison. Note one reviewed customer's October 2026 complaint that ARMOR was never activated for their account, so confirm setup in writing.
Can CallCloud call outside the US and Canada?
The included unlimited calling covers the US and Canada. A UK calling add-on is available. Teams dialing globally at volume should check coverage before switching from anything, PhoneBurner's FAQ also limits its unlimited calling to the US and Canada.
